Metropolitan Police renew appeal for witnesses to Lambeth shooting

On Friday, 5 March at 21:44hrs, police were called to Blacktree Mews, SW9 following reports that a person had been shot.

A 17-year-old male was found to have sustained a gunshot injury. The London Ambulance Service attended and he was transported to a south London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police believe that the shooting took place nearby at the junction of St James Crescent and Fyfield Road, SW9 at 21:36hrs.

Detective Constable Fraser Lockey, who is investigating the shooting, said: “We are particularly interested in speaking to the occupants of a black hatchback style car that was on St James’ Crescent at the time, as it is believed they may have witnessed the incident.

“We would also like to speak to a person who crossed St James’ Crescent and walked down Western Road near to the time of the incident. They were wearing a light coloured coat and we believe they might also hold valuable information.”

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information that could help officers should call 101, using the reference CAD 7558/05MAR21.
