Wanted man sent back to prison after West Midlands Police officers find him hiding in bedroom

A wanted man is on his way back to prison after West Midlands Police found him hiding at an address in Oldbury.

Last Tuesday (2 March) we released a custody photo of Adam Baker, aged 27, after he breached the conditions of the licence he was given when he was released early from prison.

Our appeal encouraged people to contact us if they had any information about where he might be and a number of people tipped us off about a possible address Oldbury.

Officers raided the property a short time later and found Baker hiding in an upstairs bedroom.

Offender Management Supervisor, Sergeant Karen Hunn said: “It just goes to show that if you are wanted by the police, your time is always running out and we will find you.

“We’d like to say thank you to everyone who helped with our appeal to find him. When people contact us with information it really makes a difference; thanks to the people that called us on this occasion Baker is now back behind bars.”

Baker was wanted on recall to prison for breaching the terms of his licence. He was originally handed an 18-month sentence for occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH) and is being returned to prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.
