Wiltshire Police: Recovered bikes donated to charity

The Warminster Police Neighbourhood Team are giving back to the community with a donation of a dozen recovered bikes to the Julian House Charity – an organisation supported by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner and Wiltshire Police.

Julian House’s bike workshop works with vulnerable people to help them build confidence, learn skills and support independent living through a range of projects.

The donated cycles will be used in the Build-a-Bike project – where participants work alongside a workshop mechanic to learn how to fully dismantle and rebuild a bicycle,

Once the six-week course is completed, participants get to keep the bike that they have built along with a portfolio containing records of their work, an attendance certificate and three AQA qualifications.
